What Do Trauma Doctors Do?
Trauma doctors, also called emergency physicians, are trained to manage severe cardiovascular emergencies
and traumatic injuries. For trauma doctors, every second counts. They help in the management of life-threatening
situations such as stroke or drug overdose and treat cases of traumatic fracture, soft tissue injuries, and serious
accidents to save lives. In certain cases, the emergency physician may also refer the patient to another department
(like surgery, for example) so that the patient receives additional follow-up care. All trauma doctors registered with us are
board eligible or board certified in emergency medicine. Each trauma specialist has completed an emergency medicine fellowship
as well as an internal medicine residency following medical school.
