Dr. David Blumfield, DPM

David Blumfield, DPM, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He then moved to Houston and completed his residency with the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, where he served as chief resident.

Board certified in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Blumfield specializes in surgery of the foot and ankle, including bunions and hammertoe deformities, reconstructive surgery and pediatric surgery. Additionally, he is interested in sports medicine.

Currently, Dr. Blumfield serves as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Memorial Herman Memorial City Medical Center. He previously served as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Houston. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and a Diplomat of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).

In his spare time, Dr. Blumfield enjoys traveling to Disney World with his family, which includes five children and one grandchild. He also plays golf, works out and cheers on his Texans at games. However, his real passion is baseball and the Yankees.
