Isaac Hernandez Jimenez, MD, joined TIRR Memorial Hermann Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s medical staff in January of 2017. He received his medical degree from the Universidad de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2004. Dr. Hernandez Jimenez completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Pinnacle Health Hospitals in Harrisburg, PA and his residency at the Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas Medical School in Houston/Alliance Program in Houston, TX in 2010. He completed a clinical fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 2011 and an advanced fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System in Seattle, WA in 2013.

He then practiced for three years at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, serving as Medical Director of Spinal Cord Injury services and as an assistant professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Hernandez Jimenez is an assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. As an attending physician at TIRR, Dr. Hernandez Jimenez’ primary focus is caring for patients recovering from spinal cord injuries. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and subspecialty-certified in Spinal Cord Injury medicine.
